Silverswift Outer Great Barrier Reef Cruise

Experience the Great Barrier Reef onboard the comfortable and luxurious Silverswift catamaran with many onboard facilities to make your day as comfortable as possible.

Silverswift's capacity is 80 guests, and this Outer Reef Cruise visits 3 sites with 5 leisurely hours spent on the reef. Locations depend on the conditions and certified divers can enjoy up to 3 dives with introductory divers able to do a second dive.

The vessel features two levels of seating with full bar facilities, fresh water showers, air conditioning and a tropical smorgasboard lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea. Onboard are experienced and professional crew with qualified safety officers on hand allowing guests to feel at ease on their day on the reef.

Itinerary

08.15: Coaches arrive at the Marlin Wharf and passengers board Silverswift. Tea, coffee and biscuits served until departure.

08.30: Depart Marlin Wharf for the trip to the Outer Barrier Reef. On the way, detailed certified and introductory dive briefings are given.

09.50: Arrive at the first site. Divers gear up, while snorkellers listen to a site briefing by the snorkelling advisor. Get ready to view the beauty of this natural wonder!

11.15: Silverswift departs for second reef location. Option for introductory divers and certified divers to do their second dive. Snorkellers are once again briefed as to the best areas to snorkel.

12.30: After the water activities, enjoy a tropical hot and cold lunch [included in the fare] served in the air conditioned cabin. The lunch includes fresh prawns, pasta, meats, salads and fruit. There are bar facilities available where you can purchase drinks.

13.40: Silverswift departs for third reef location. Snorkellers are once again briefed as to the best areas to snorkel. Option for introductory divers and certified divers to do their third dive.

14.15: Afternoon tea is served.

14.45: All passengers to board vessel for count.

15.00: Silverswift commences return to Cairns.

16.30: Silverswift arrives at Cairns.

Introduction to Diving: No experience is required with introductory diving. This option includes 1 dive and all scuba diving equipment. A second dive is available on the day if desired.

Certified Dive: Dive equipment is included and the option of a second or third dive is also available on the day. Full dive certification is required.
