Coral Sea Dreaming - 2 Day Sailing Trip

This two day and one night adventure combines the unforgettable opportunity to see the Great Barrier Reef with a small group, sailing aboard a comfortable 18 metre (60 foot) ketch.

Visit beautiful outer reef locations including Thetford, Moore and Milln & Flynn Reefs, which are located about 40 kilometres east of Cairns, each of which offer varying dive or snorkel locations, with different coral formations and featuring a multitude of tropical fish life.

Coral Sea Dreaming is a modern Ketch made of steel with a beautiful wooden interior, offering different cabin options to please every traveller. Coral Sea Dreaming carries a large quantity of fresh water, and also boasts a generator, fridge and freezer to make Coral Sea Dreaming the perfect boat for your next sailing adventure in North Queensland.

Itinerary

Day 1: Board and Depart Cairns, Light breakfast of tea or coffee and muffin or similar is served prior to departure. Arrive at the Reef and enjoy your time exploring the reef snorkelling, diving and relaxing over lunch. Enjoy afternoon tea with you fellow travellers. Relax while the evening dinner is served on deck with the reef and sunset in the background.

Day 2: Wake Up on the reef and enjoy fresh coffee or tea and a morning swim - snorkel or dive. Depart for the next reef location, specially selected by the experienced crew. Full breakfast is served and then resume water activities or just lazing around the deck. Enjoy lunch before leaving the reef before departing for Cairns. 'Hoist the Sails' and join in the sailing as you head back to Cairns from the reef.

Accommodation

Accommodation on Coral Sea Dreaming includes an Oversized Private Stateroom, a Private Double Cabin and Shared Cabin space.

Oversized Private Stateroom: Bedding is 1 Queen Bed for 2 Adults, + 2 additional Single Bunks for families. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults & 2 Children.

Private Cabin: Bedding is 1 Double Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults (price pp based on double share).

Shared Cabin consists of the following

Front Quad Shared Cabin: Bedding is 4 Single Bunks (bottom 2 bunks can be made into a double). Maximum room capacity is 4 Adults & Children.

Salon: Bedding is 1 Single Bed or can be extended to a make a Double Bed. Maximum room capacity is 2 Adults & Children.

Departures

Departs: 8.30am Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday from D Finger, Marlin Marina Cairns,(Directly behind Shangri-La Cairns & Pier Shopping) Boarding approximately 8.00am

Returns: 4.30pm Wednesday, Friday & Sunday

Alcohol: You may bring your own alcohol on board providing no glass bottles, only cans of beer or small casks of wine etc. Refrigerator space is limited, small quantities only please
Bags: Small overnight bag only. Soft backpacks or similar and soft bags without wheels are best if possible
What to Bring: Sunscreen, hat, sun glasses, beach towel, (bath towel provided), small bag with your overnight kit (storage for excess baggage available)
